This Disclaimer ("Disclaimer") applies to all content, services, tools, analyses, and outputs provided through the James Scott Brown Foundation ("JSBF") Legal Intelligence Platform at jamesscottbrownfoundation.com (the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Disclaimer. This Disclaimer supplements and operates in conjunction with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Definitions

  • "Legal Intelligence Output" refers to any analysis, report, document, recommendation, or other content generated through the Platform's services, including outputs from the Multi-Phase Processing Technology (MPPT) deep analysis system.
  • "Professional Legal Advice" refers to advice provided by a licensed attorney within the context of an attorney-client relationship, which is distinct from the informational services provided by the Platform.
  • "Third-Party Content" refers to any content, services, websites, or resources not owned or controlled by JSBF that are referenced, linked to, or integrated with the Platform.

3. No Attorney-Client Relationship

The James Scott Brown Foundation is a nonprofit organization. The Foundation is not a law firm and does not practice law. No attorney-client relationship is created between JSBF and any User by virtue of accessing or using the Platform. The Foundation provides back-office legal intelligence enhancement services designed to support and augment the work of organizations' own licensed legal counsel.

All Legal Intelligence Outputs generated through the Platform are intended for informational and educational purposes only. These outputs do not constitute legal advice, legal opinion, or legal representation. Users must consult with qualified, licensed legal professionals in their jurisdiction before making any legal decisions or taking any legal action based on information obtained through the Platform.

4. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Completeness

While JSBF implements rigorous methodologies in its legal intelligence services, the Foundation does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, or suitability of any content, analysis, or output generated through the Platform. Legal landscapes are complex and subject to change. Applicable laws, regulations, and judicial interpretations vary by jurisdiction and evolve over time. Legal Intelligence Outputs reflect analysis based on available information at the time of generation and do not account for subsequent legal developments.

Users bear sole responsibility for verifying the accuracy and applicability of any Platform output before relying on it for any purpose. JSBF expressly disclaims any liability arising from reliance on Platform content without independent verification by qualified legal professionals.

5. Service Availability Disclaimers

The Foundation provides grant-funded legal intelligence services on a discretionary basis. The following disclaimers apply to all service-related activities:

  • Submission of an application for platform access does not guarantee approval. All access decisions are made at the sole discretion of the Foundation.
  • JSBF reserves the right to modify eligibility criteria, service offerings, processing timelines, and program availability at any time without prior notice.
  • The Foundation is not obligated to provide reasons for application decisions, and all decisions are final.
  • Grant-funded services are subject to continued availability of funding and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
  • Past access to services does not create an entitlement to continued access.

6. User Rights and Responsibilities

Users have the right to access the Platform's publicly available content and to use the Services in accordance with the Terms of Service. Users are solely responsible for:

8. Compliance

  • Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in Platform content or outputs.
  • Any interruption, suspension, or termination of Platform services.

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY UPON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED, INCLUDING WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF JSBF HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America and the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the Foundation is organized, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Disclaimer shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions set forth in the Terms of Service.

JSBF reserves the right to update this Disclaimer at any time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
